Description

Original artwork (acrylic on canvas) by Morah Gila Bretter and the Moriah Early Childhood class Ruby.

We welcome the Shabbat bride every Friday night. A bride represents “beginnings”. The white face of the bride symbolizes the purity of the Jewish People - Am Yisrael. Just as a bride represents the beginning, the Shabbat also represents beginning. The background is dark to represent the darkness of the world we live in. The orange lights represent the light of Torah. Shabbat is our symbol of purity and happiness that helps us forget any sorrows of the past. We always have beginnings, but never endings.
