Description

Since 1899, the Burke Museum has been the Washington State museum featuring natural history and culture.  Come and explore the cultures, wildlife, and geography of Washington state, and the Pacific Northwest, and the Pacific Rim.  Examine real dinosaur fossils, the art of Pacific Northwest Native peoples, and artifacts from the Pacific Rim.  Uncover the past worlds, history an stories, and what makes the Northwest so unique.  During the year there are many special events including, Archaeology Day, Birds at the Burke, Dino Day, and Meet the Mammals.  In addition to these events there is always two permanent exhibits and a series of rotating temporary exhibits.  The Burke Museum is located at the entrance of the University of Washington campus.
