These two sets of "First Day" issue stamps were produced by the US Postal Service to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Virgin Islands National Park. Each set includes eight images of original works of art produced by school children that interpret park resources. The sets are stamped with the issue date of December 1, 1996 and are sealed and bound in Postal Service folders.
