Description
Viña Almaviva - Premier Orden - Two 3L Bottles: Vintages 2011 & 2012
Almaviva is a Château concept winery, established by Baron Philippe de Rothschild and Viña Concha y Toro. One Bordeaux blend is released annually, offering the best of two worlds: Chilean terroir interlaced with French winemaking tradition. The result is an exceptionally elegant and complex wine. Harvest conditions favored consistent, outstanding quality of fruit, elegant and pure, with a notable density of ripe, round tannins. The wine is deep, intense ruby red, matched by a complex and subtle nose, revealing delicate and clean aromas of ripe cassis, fig and blackberries, accompanied by vanilla, cacao and toffee notes. A pure, elegant and layered wine, harmoniously balanced by structured tannins and a great acidity. The gift of new world terroir makes this Bordeaux blend approachable now, while the French winemaking allows cellaring for decades. Enjoy!
