COMAL is a gathering place located in Berkeley’s bustling Arts District, just north of the Downtown Berkeley BART Station. The restaurant is housed in a single story building (circa 1927) and features a stunning secluded rear patio with a full bar, covered dining area and al fresco beer garden with fire pit.

Comal serves interpretations of classic Mexican dishes such as enchiladas, quesadillas, and a variety of tacos. Order the roasted whole chicken with fire-roasted fingerling potatoes, or the roasted pork lion with grilled vegetables which provide enough food for two or three people. With many delicious dishes from the wood grill, Comal is known for the freshness of their entrees.
