The Yellow Canary is a whimsical arts-and-crafts studio for children aged 20 months to 10 years old. The studio's goal is to jump-start kids’ imaginations through color, paste and paint, and inspire young artists to feel good about themselves and their unique creations.

Each monthly class session focuses on a different theme including Into the Jungle, On the Farm, Around the World, and Artists Through the Ages. Integrating art and literature is an important part of each class so Sonya Taylor chooses a unique children’s book that correlates with each month’s theme. With this, children walk away with a one-of-a-kind, personalized craft—and also a greater sense of knowledge about the subject at hand.
