AVS’s treatment of world renowned Music Hall not only recaptures the pageantry of its 1878 opening, but reflects the energy, vision and work of Cincinnati’s current civic and arts leadership as it revitalizing historic Music Hall and Washington Park in Over the Rhine. The artist has created a few versions of this series. In 2013, VanSickle’s Music Hall was noted as one of the core influences for Lumenocity. The painting even appeared on covers of magazines and feature articles. The painting also was featured in the Cincinnati Enquirer’s Sunday editorial page in July of 2012.
