This 5 foot by 6 foot quilt is of the British Isles and was graciously donated by Spandrel Development of New York, and lately of Charleston.  It is an icey blue background while the Islands are is a soft gold silk. The details of the Isles, such as cities, mountains, and island cabins are spelled out with a darker gold thread, as shown in closeups.  Haptic Lab is a woman owned business which designs and creates specialty textiles in Brooklyn.
