Vintner Barry Waitte founded Tamber Bey Vineyards in 1999, when he purchased a 60-acre vineyard in the Yountville Appellation and an 11-acre property in the renowned Oakville Appellation. This marked Waitte’s entry into the wine business as a grower. He immediately hired vineyard manager Josh Clark to plant and farm the properties with the goal of growing premium Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Dijon Chardonnay.

Included are three nights in the Tamber Bey guesthouse in Yountville for one or two couples; a private tour, tasting and picnic lunch at the Tamber Bey Winery in Calistoga for four; and a 6 Liter bottle of Tamber Bey Cabernet Sauvignon.

The beautiful 2BR, 1BA Tuscan villa-style Tamber Bey guest house is a warm, comfortable retreat superbly set on the Napa River amidst the splendor of Napa Valley. The house’s interiors virtually spill outside via six French doors opening from the main living area onto the veranda, which features a captivating setting, stone wood-burning fireplace and gas barbeque, and is just steps from the vineyard.

Inside, the main room, with cathedral ceiling and exposed beams, features a wood-burning fireplace, seating area with leather sofa and rocker, a marble-appointed kitchen, and dining area. The bedrooms are tastefully decorated with well-chosen linens, art and accessories. Vaulted ceilings of 20+ ft. glorify the two double bedrooms, which share an Italian-tiled full bath. Every detail has been attended to, down to the robes hanging in the closets and basket of toiletries on the vanity.

Your visit to the Tamber Bey Winery at Sundance Ranch in Calistoga is like nothing else in Napa Valley. The winery is located at the Sundance Ranch in Calistoga, a world-class equestrian facility designed by renowned architect Howard Backen and dedicated to training top performance horses. The tasting room is located in the barn clubhouse. The 16-stall barn surrounds the courtyard, where guests can taste wine, mingle with the horses, and enjoy stunning views of Mount St. Helena and the Palisades.

You will enjoy a private tour of the winemaking facility and stables, followed by a six-flight tasting of Tamber Bey’s premium wines. After your tasting, you will be treated to a Napa-style lunch, hosted by owners Barry and Jennifer Waitte. At the conclusion of your experience, you will be presented with a 6 Liter bottle of Tamber Bey Cabernet Sauvignon from the owners’ own Deux Chevaux Vineyard.
