One of Thumbs Cookies' creator Robyn Frank's most treasured memories as a little girl growing up in Minneapolis was baking with her mom. Her mom, Barb, is the original Thumb-maker. Robyn used to watch her roll this cookie dough into perfect little circles and finish each one with her perfect thumbprint – and Robyn wanted to do it just like her. 

As Robyn got older, she realized that these little cookies her family had come to call Thumbs around the house were so much more than addicting, delicious treats made for holidays, occasions and often upon special request. Her mom baked Thumbs as a way to share her love with her family, friends and community. They were her signature cookie for neighborhood occasions.

After watching Barb time and again, Robyn finally mastered making Thumbs, and decided it was time to share their love and family history with all of you.

Robyn Frank started Thumbs Cookies in Brooklyn, New York in 2012. She moved the company back to Minnesota in 2014 and currently bakes thumbs at Kindred Kitchen in North Minneapolis.
