Description

Laser/IPL Treatments “IPL” (Intense Pulsed Light Therapy) technology is a safe, nonsurgical, non-invasive and versatile treatment that uses light energy to rejuvenate the skin.

Because IPL is capable of emitting light at various different wavelengths, different types of skin conditions can be treated by using different filters.

IPL can be used for the treatment of sun damage, hair removal, abnormal pigmentation of the skin, redness, rosacea, broken capillaries (“telangiectasias”), and vascular or pigmented birthmarks. We have even had success with treating vascular lesions resulting from cancer-related radiation treatments!

The process is ideal for patients with active lifestyles because the procedure requires no downtime and has a low risk of side effects. The gentle, non-ablative treatments use broad spectrum light to treat the face, chest, neck and hands —virtually anywhere that sun damage shows.

Special Instructions

The certificate is only valid for the procedure done by Nikki Melet PA-C. Nikki has been working in Dermatology and Plastic Surgery in the Bay Area for over a decade, and takes an active role as a PA in our community. She is part of the San Francisco Bay PA Association, local PA Dermatology clubs and regularly attends National meetings. She is trained in general and cosmetic dermatology, treating all ages ranging from infants to geriatrics.

Nikki is certified in multiple laser treatments and a variety of injectables. Due to her plastic surgery training, she excels at dermatological surgical procedures. In 2002, prior to her work in Dermatology and Plastics, Nikki launched her PA career in a San Francisco family medicine practice, giving her the broad medical knowledge to treat dermatologic conditions.

Prior to practicing in the Bay area, Nikki graduated from the University of New England’s Physician Assistant’s Masters at the top of her class. Her requisite patient care experience before grad school involved two years as a paramedic in Detroit, MI. Nikki’s under grad degree is from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with a BA in pre-med and French.

Nikki loves to spend time with her family, surf, hike, camp, cook, and as a self described “foodie,” takes full advantages of the bay area’s restaurants and culture.
