In the early 1900's, the warehouse Serpentine now calls home manufactured tin cans. Their space was the boiler room for the factory.

In 2007, Serpentine moved into the space on the corner of 3rd and 22nd streets, which had been Monice's Chinese cafeteria for the previous two decades. A talented crew of local crafts people started peeling back the layers of the past 100 years. Serpentine rock was found throughout the foundation and our name was born.
