Bristlecone Pine White Mountains Print

This original Bristlecone Pine White Mountains print will bring the image of one of the oldest trees in the world to your home. This print is unframed and measures 11 x 14 and is done by Fred Mertz Photograpy.

The Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest is home to the oldest trees in the world, Bristlecone Pines.  Some of these living trees exceed 4,000 years of age. This photograph captures the spectacular twisted growth and beautifully colored wood.

Located in easern California, in the Inyo National Forest, is the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest. This is a protected area high in the White Mountains. It is here that the Great Basin Bristlecone Pine trees grow between 9,800 and 11,000 feet (3,000–3,400 m) above sea level, in xeric alpine conditions.
