Description

1 case - 2012 El Roy Sauvignon Blanc - Dry Creek Valley - Nelson Vineyards - Sonoma County

Veteran winemaker Michael Draxton formed Draxton Wines in Healdsburg in 1995, after developing his skills at Schramsberg, Geyser Peak and Canyon Road. His ElRoy brand is named for his father, Elroy Draxton, and the grapes for this outstanding Sauvignon Blanc come from Michael's Nelson Vineyards in Sonoma's Dry Creek Valley. The fruit was lightly crushed and the juice was fermented in cool stainless steel tanks. Here you have rich, mouthwatering aromas and flavors of peach, citrus, green apple, quince, and grapefruit, with hints of honey, fresh herbs and lime. Crisp, with a touch of mineral. Long finish and aftertaste. Exceptional value. Delicious.
