Description
Master Li dedicates his life to helping others, caring for the planet, and calls for the union of our hearts as one - "I am only 78 years young!" he often says. It is a rare opportunity to be with him for 5 days at Eastover.
Founder of Eastover Estate and Retreat said "How much do we really know about consciousness? Coming from a science background, I consider myself an open-minded person, but it’s perhaps the flip-side of a background like mine that resisted many spiritual concepts, concepts still not measurable with today’s technology. Yet such phenomena is undeniably true and recognized by even the scientific community. Among these is the belief in the existence of sentient beings capable of receiving teachings and messages from divine spirits in lucid dreams or meditation."
In contrast to over 2500 years of wisdom gained from meditative practice and evidence, the relatively short recent history of science - much of which is based on assumptions relating to static matter, is now perceived by most people as the golden rule by which we are meant to judge whether any theory/illuminating idea is valid or not. Western medicine is largely confined to this rigid “box” we humans have created with this limited knowledge. The amount of money required by the medical community for finding cures based just on this “boxed knowledge” has increased costs for the average person seeking medical attention and even health insurance – making both unaffordable for many.
Meanwhile, many Qi Gong masters like Junfeng Li, having cultivated their spirits towards higher consciousness, receive gifts of teaching and transformation from Divinity itself and are being called upon by the divine to transmit this knowledge to enlighten others and help alleviate suffering.
Junfeng Li was sought out by an ordinary meditator who one day knocked on his door, and after verifying his and his wife's name, told him that he, Junfeng Li, had been “chosen” to pass on Heavenly Qi Gong and Tai Chi teachings, along with a philosophy of life that calls for the unification of all religions, caring for the planet, and saving of the environment. Junfeng Li was to connect with the universe through the use of the Three Heart Meditation and through the teachings of Lao Tzu, Kuan Yin, Jesus, Muhammad, and other divine spirits.
At that time, Master Li was head coach of China's National Martial Arts Team, had acted and directed in several martial arts films, and was an overnight sensation for playing the main role in the very popular film "Wu Ling Zhi" - Legends of [Martial Art] Heroes.
With an open and trusting heart, Junfeng Li received simple instructions from the modest meditator. After practicing 2 to 3 times a week for one month, Master Li did not feel anything different. He was instructed then to meditate each day, at least twice. Two months later, an illuminating light appeared to him and with it, highly spiritual teachings - some from ancient Chinese texts, which were divinely bestowed upon him. Forms of Qi Gong and Tai Chi expressed through movement meditation were also given him. In order to record these gifts, Master Li began to meditate in the presence of his young daughter, who captured these simple yet profound forms on borrowed video cameras. This material became the subject of books he later authored and of his teaching videos as well.
Master Li’s wife’s great support for his work made it possible for him to bring these teachings to the world. China was not quite ready to receive what he had to offer at that time, so the master was called to travel to the Philippines or Germany to start his teaching. Still with two young kids at home, Junfeng Li quit his Head Coach position with the Chinese government, forgoing his entire retirement/pension plan, and traveled to the Philippines with no prior arrangement of support or financial commitment of any sort, trusting only in the message of spirit that support for his work would be there when he arrived.
With such trust in divine consciousness, Master Li spent 14 years in the Philippines, where he began his lifetime dedication to teach Sheng Zhen Gong – the qigong of unconditional love that brings happiness and the “wisdom of life” to all beings. In 2002, Master Li came to United States and another 14 years passed. At 79 years old, Master Li continues to travel to Asia, Europe, Africa, and all over United States to spread the word of “Opening the Heart with Unconditional Love”.
Sheng Zhen empowers and transforms our lives - as the editor of Sheng Zhen Wuji Yuangong, Anabel Alejandrino said: "It is through practice that one is led naturally into one's own perfect love in the heart. More than just a healing tool for the body and the emotions, I have found that not only do the movements almost magically become the tools with which we can become the person we all want to be, but also our capacity to enjoy life with its ups and downs is enhanced and magnified. Li Junfeng is a living example of this".
To practice Sheng Zhen is to enter into a "Sheng Zhen state" - Anabel saids: “As one learns to let go so that the wisdom of Qi takes over, life’s journey becomes a road of letting go of fears we hold in our bodies, concepts that render our minds inflexible, feelings in our hearts that we are attached to, and programming in our subconscious that hold us back. In so doing, we make way for what we truly are in essence – infinitely free beings, embodiment of love on every level, sparks of the divine, perfect and full. It is this experience that the practice of Sheng Zhen Gong brings. Ultimately, the practice is a key into one’s own heart, which enables us to walk into one’s own light. In this process, love for oneself becomes a tangible reality. This in turn leads to loving others unconditionally. These are the building blocks to a world of love – to a Sheng Zhen World.”
Sheng Zhen Gong is a method of self-healing, often referred to as "the qigong of Unconditional Love." It involves a series of moving and non-moving forms, all designed to remove negative energy or "qi" and gather positive healing energy. The movements and contemplations of Sheng Zhen Gong help re-create that deep sense of inner peace we experienced as small children. As the body softens, and negative emotions are released, one experiences a feeling of perfect harmony with the universe.
