WW-III (Word-Wars III) is a game combining features of Chess and of word games. Played on a board with columns and rows of letters, players move their chess-like pieces to collect letters/form words, and can use pieces to block other players. The markers move like chessmen, though their moves are simpler than chess, and the formation of words is simpler than in other board games or crossword puzzles.

Note these are bloodless battles, where no markers are lost in the play of the game, and there is lots of strategy! The Smithsonian Associate Magazine hailed it as a fun, intergenerational game that is also a work of art!
