Erik Hilmy is a self-taught wine maker who, when given the choice, prefers to walk between the rows and spend time in the vineyard, where he firmly believes the wine is made. He readily admits that, “lots of failed experiments” are not going to stop him from making good wine. We personally hand-harvest our Estate Vineyards at dawn, and bring the grapes in small containers directly to the winery.  We hope this minimizes premature browning of the fruit and allows the vineyard its best opportunity to truly shine.

Hilmy Cellars Wine is between Fredericksburg and Stonewall, TX. This wine package includes a private tour of the Hilmy winery, cellar and tasting room during your visit. If the time of the year permits, we shall also take a walk through the vineyards. This pack honors a Private Tasting & Tour for up to FOUR during a visit, and a bottle of your favorite Hilmy Wine from the Tasting Room.
