One Week of Full Day Soccer Camp for Boys and Girls at Olin College In Needham (a short drive from Mason-Rice).
A typical day at John Smith Soccer Camp:
- 8:30-9 am - Group Warmup
- 9-11 am - Individual Techniques
- 11-12 noon - 6v6 Tournament
- 12-2 pm - Lunch Break (1-2 pm Films for Soccer Juniors)
- 2:15-4 pm - Team Tactics
- 4-5 pm - 6v6 Tournament
- 5 pm - Day Campers Leave
The following sessions are for ages 9-15 and run from 8:30-5pm:
- June 19-23
- June 26 - 30
- July 5-7
The following dates are for ages 8-17. These sessions are Sunday 3-8pm, Monday - Thursday 8:30am-5pm and then Friday 8:30am-11am:
- July 9-14
- July 16-21
- July 23-28
- July 30-Aug 4
- August 6-11
John Smith grew up playing soccer in England and then did a stint as a kicker for the New England Patriots from 1974-1983. He is known for kicking the winning field goal to beat the Dolphins in an infamous game in 1982 which was held during in a snowstorm. Since even before he retired from the Patriots, he has been running soccer camps and clinics so he has over 40 years experience coaching soccer. He has been instrumental in starting Youth Soccer Programs in numerous towns as well as teaching thousands of coaches and parents to enjoy working with young soccer players of all ability level. His Daughter Felicity has followed in his path and continues on the family tradition. They also runs a club soccer program called John Smith Soccer Academy (JSSA).
