WGBH tour with journalist Emily Rooney

Emily Rooney, tennis fan and  co-honorary chair of Sportsmen's Tennis Ball, is also a TV and radio host and former news director. For 18 years Rooney was host and executive editor of WGBH's Greater Boston and the weekly Beat the Press on WGBH-TV. In 2015 she scaled back, now just hosting Friday's Beat the Press and making regular radio appearances. 

You & your guest will tour WGBH with Emily, hear behind the scenes stories of the history of this station where Julia Child launched her career. WGBH produces more PBS programming than any other affiliate  from Nova to Masterpiece Theatre. The studio also is responsible for Antiques Road Show, Curious George, Arthur, Simply Ming and the original Zoom! It is also home to 89.7 FM, a 100,000 watt all-news station reaching throughout New England.
