Description
Join fabulous JAWdess and amatuer historian Andrea Stone for an insider's walking tour of America's first suburb and one of its most historic, Brooklyn Heights. We'll stroll among elegant 19th century brownstones and explore a literary neighborhood that Walt Whitman, Carson McCullers, Arthur Miller, Truman Capote, Norman Mailer and many other writers have called home. We'll visit Plymouth Church, where Harriet Beecher Stowes abolitionist brother Henry welcomed Abraham Lincoln to worship, and check out the worlds only Greek Revival subway ventilator. You'll take in the jaw-dropping view from the Promenade and then stroll down below at the new Brooklyn Bridge Park.
