Learn how to DJ! Professor Il will teach you the art of DJing with two turntables and a mixer. No experience needed and all equipment and course materials provided. Lessons will be tailored to age and skill level. Four hours of instruction includes (depending on skill level): Structure of Music , Beats and bars, BPMs, genres, Turntable Mechanics, Manipulating the record, Speed adjustment techniques, Beatmatching, Using Headphones, Pitch control, and Five Steps to Beatmatching Success Mixing , Bars and phrases, Common mix transitions, Mix transition styles including upfader mixing, basic EQ use, Turntablism - Using the record as an instrument, Baby scratch, Chirps, Flares and Transformer
About the instructor: Professor Il (Maddie's dad, K) has taught DJing since 2001, as a professor in a college course setting, as an instructor at Norcal DJMPA a professional DJ academy, and as an executive director and youth mentor through a non-profit called Beatz.
