Sharyl Gates was an artist of fine arts, theater, music, crafts, and dance.  She received a full scholarship to Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles.  After moving to San Francisco, Sharyl worked for the American Conservatory Theater, Berkeley Repertory Theater, Bill Graham Productions, the Blake Street Hawkeyes, and the Renaissance Faire. Sharyl also created original artwork for a Ricki Lee Jones concert tour and had her illustrations published in Diablo Magazine.
