About Kate
Kate has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. At SVA, she majored in illustration and minored in art therapy. She has a Master of the Arts degree in education from Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey. She has been a school librarian, art teacher, and high school language arts teacher. She currently lives in New York City, where she works as a tutor and an artist.
From an early age, Kate has been an avid reader and writer. Math, however, challenged her greatly throughout her early years as a student. As a result, she has great empathy toward the struggles of her students. She works with each students’ strengths and interests, and utilizes a multi-sensory approach in her tutoring.
