Old Red Museum of Dallas County History & Culture: Four Admissions
Item Number: 192
Time Left: CLOSED
Description
The Old Red Museum tells the unique story of Dallas County: why people settled here and how their stories make Dallas the special place that it is. Formerly known as the Old Red Courthouse because of the red sandstone which clothes the building, it has been fully restored to its 1892 splendor, complete with an imposing clock tower and four story majestic staircase. The building is the 6th courthouse to stand in the same block of land-the very first block of Dallas when it was plated by John Neely Bryan.
