Since 1979, Ballet Academy East has been a vibrant center for dance on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. In 1978, Julia Dubno, the founder and director of Ballet Academy East was selected by Christine Fokine to run the Fokine Ballet School. That experience led to the opening of Ballet Academy East in a brownstone on East 79th Street with one small studio in 1979.
Today the school has five spacious studios, a world-renowned faculty and continues to flourish. Miss Dubno continues to manage the day-to-day operations and is in close contact with the faculty and staff in order to be kept abreast of all areas of the school.

Note: Winning pick-up dates and times will be announced on our auction homepage after the auction close. The pick-up location will be at Spruce Street School (PS 397), 12 Spruce Street, NYC 10038. If you would like your item(s) mailed to you, you must notify us by Tuesday March 21, 2017 via email to gala@sprucestreetpta.org. Only items such as gift certificates that fit in a standard sized envelope can be mailed. There is a $1.00 shipping and handling fee for mailed items. Items will be mailed after the scheduled pick-up dates. Liquids such as perfume, lotions or food may not be mailed and must be picked up. We are not responsible for items if you do not pick up during the allotted pick up times and if no mailing is arranged.
