The class worked with a theme of Peace this year.  

Before the break, we had teachers ask the students to think about what Peace means to them... perhaps unsurprisingly, they didn't talk about it in the context of broader society, but rather their quotes seem to come from their own direct experience. Perhaps mine isn't the only household where our kids hear a parent beg for "just ten minutes' peace, please!" :)

We have transferred these quotes to the back of the tote bag, in metallic fabric markers, which match nicely to the gold printing on the front of the bag.  When you read them all together it almost feels like a meditation, read it in times of need.
