Myriad charming illustrations overlap, mingle, intertwine and coalesce into this unified masterpiece. Forty-one third-graders, with intense concentration and creativity, moved around these panels, flowing like the water that was their inspiration, adding to one another’s drawings and filling the picture plane to create a work of art that is simultaneously funny, charming, poetic, beautiful, bewildering, abstract, surreal, diverse, and, above all, engrossing. You can look for hours and not get bored. Every time you look at it you will see something new or have a new favorite section.
