Description

Soap Making 101 (for one person) will focus on hands-on experience making cold process soaps from beginning to end. Step by step, with lye safe handling in practice. Making your own soaps from scratch will not be as daunting as it seemed any more!


You will –



  1. Follow a basic recipe to make your very first batch of soaps.

  2. Learn to use soap calculator – for soap recipe formulating and predict end product quality.

  3. Walk the procedure of soap making, step by step.

  4. Practice safe lye handling – no lye, no soap. Understand lye and handle it with care, nothing can stop you from creating artisan soaps any more!

  5. Use proper protection – safety gears provided during the workshop.

  6. Know equipment and tools needed to make cold process soaps and what materials are safe what are not for different steps in the making – don’t be surprised to find out you already have many of the tools at home!

  7. Line a recycled mold from food container, box or wooden mold.

  8. Talk about saponification and soap curing.

  9. Get clean up tips.

  10. Bring home one block of soap you created.
