Patricia Polacco is a beloved children's author and illustrator.  She is the focus of a third grade author study unit. Polacco often cites inspirational teachers in her  works. She uses art and painting as an expressive vehicle. Following that unit, this offer gives children the opportunity to participate in a "painting party " with the third grade teaching team.  Together, student and teacher will share an art experience that will, hopefully, remain memorable to each child, in much the same  way that Patricia Polacco fondly remembers her teachers! Each participant will leave with a picture on canvas created by teacher and student.
