Too many Tamales! Come and learn how to make tamales and take some home for your family! Ms. Maggie, Mrs Chun, and Sra. Blocker will teach the students how to make some traditional sweet and savory tamales. We will begin with a read aloud of the book "Too Many Tamales" by Gary Soto. Then we will roll up our sleeves and make many, many tamales in the CLC kitchen from 11 to 12. Students will go back to their classes at 12 PM at 2:30 they will be back in the CLC to make a paper flower centerpiece and placemats. They will also sample they're delicious tamales. At 4:15 they will be ready to go home and create a tamale fiesta for their families.
