This is not to be missed. Oakland's original street dance culture is coming to Redwood Day! TURF is an acronym for taking up room on the dance floor and was originated here in West Oakland. You may have seen them at First Fridays, JLSQ Night Market, or performing at the Berkely Art Museum/PFA. For this special event at Redwood Day, Johnny5 Lopez and his crew (including guest dancer and faculty sponsor John DeSerio from 4B) are going to teach you how to hit it TURF style. Pizza dinner to follow the dance battling.
