If you’re considering orthodontia for your child, you’re going to need a set of diagnostic records.
Orthodontic records include facial and dental photographs, models of the teeth, which are positioned on an articulator (jaw movement simulator), and low-radiation digital X-rays to view skeletal and dental structures. Dr. Karpov will carefully evaluate the diagnostic data and determine the best treatment plan. Treatment options and any special considerations will be reviewed with the patient and, in the case of a child, his or her parents. Then the patient is scheduled for placement of orthodontic appliances.
Dr. Maria A. Karpov received her DMD degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where she then completed her postdoctoral studies in Orthodontics and received her Masters in Oral Biology. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, the highest level of achievement in the field. Dr. Karpov resides in downtown Manhattan with her family.
