Hugo Rodriguez was born in Mexico and raised in the northern part of the country. In June 1995, after he finished high school, he was invited by a friend to work with him in one of his jewelry stores as a sales associate. Four years later Rodriguez opened his first store. He moved to Scottsdale, Arizona, in August 2003 to open up his first venture in the United States. He also began creating his own line of silver jewelry.
