Ashland is a small town, just over the border from California, that has become well known for its year-long Shakespeare festival.  It is also home to Southern Oregon University and, as such, is a quaint college town featuring many great restaurants, art galleries, shops, breweries and wine bars.  93 acre Lithia Park sits in the middle of the town and is a great place for walking, hiking, biking and summer concerts.  The Rogue river is an hour away and is a great spot for river rafting adventures.
