Dr. Stephen Metzinger has spent his career striving to better the lives of his patients and plastic surgery as a whole. His medical education includes degrees from Tulane, LSU and Johns Hopkins. Plastic surgery can be complex as it affects many seemingly isolated systems. This is why Stephen Metzinger has pursued a broad certification background. Dr. Metzinger is Triple Board Certified in Plastic Surgery, Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery and Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. He is a Clinical Associate Professor at Tulane University Health Sciences Center, Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery.
He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), American Association of Plastic Surgery (AAPS), and American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons (ASMS) and the Rhinoplasty Society. Few surgeons can claim this wealth of experience and recognition.
