Red Hook Brewery was started in Seattle, Washington by Gordon Bowker and Paul Shipman. In 1996, Redhook opened a sister brewery in Portsmouth, NH to better serve Redhook beer fans on the eastern seaboard. Redhook is the first craft brewery to have bicoastal breweries.
