Description
KALW is the oldest FM broadcaster west of the Mississippi River. This NPR and BBC affiliate station is owned by the San Francisco Unified School District, and it's home to award-winning local programs including Crosscurrents, Your Call, and many others. You and three (3) guests will get a personal tour of the station from news director (and Lowell parent) Ben Trefny, see how audio stories and interviews are produced for podcast and broadcast, and make your own recording that will air on KALW.
