Description
The kids in the Robin program had a terrific time making their mark on the Manhattan canvas!
Our vision was for the kids to use their thumbs (and, if willing, feet) to populate the grid with unique thumb and footprints to each child. We had the kids come out in pairs to have a “buddy” when it was their turn. What was fun to watch was the unique approach each child took when painting. Some were shy at first, dipping their fingers slowly and doing one or two small thumbprints on the canvas. Some jumped right in and used long sweeping lines with all fingers and hands, trying to cover as much of the canvas as possible! Some wanted nothing to do with their feet getting painted and others ripped their socks off and wanted to stomp all over it! What was wonderful to see was all of the children coming together to create one beautiful piece of art that reflects their individual style and approach. They were great sports!
Special thanks to these parents for their help in making this art project happen: Sandy & Jeffrey, Nolan's parents; Ellie, Charlotte's mon.
The framed canvas measures: 26"x50"
