All of our classes focus on exploration of materials and creative problem-solving rather than mimicry of adult-level art mechanics. We emphasize art instruction grounded in the intuitive elements of the fine arts, not merely on arts and crafts. We strive to provide our students with a better appreciation of the arts and their own thoughts and abilities.

All of Private Picassos' art instructors have extensive experience teaching art to students of all ages, and almost all have degrees in art education. Many of our competitors hire artists, rather than art teachers. This distinction is very important; not only have our art teachers been trained in formal art pedagogy and have teaching experience, but they have also made a conscious decision to teach art to children and adults.
