A self-taught artist, Larry began painting at a young age while growing up in Texarkana, Texas. He often used illustrations in how-to books as models for pictures that he reinterpreted and painted in his own vivid color palette. His work represents a broad range of subjects from portrayals of family incidents to idillic landscapes, both realistic and impressionistic. His body of work also includes intricate, architectural models of houses that are both real and imagined.

Larry now lives and works in Eugene, Oregon.
