30-Minute piano lesson
The music of James G. Lindsay has been performed and premiered by some of the country’s most distinguished artists, including members of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. Recent commissions include a sextet for strings, piano, and voice for the Memling Ensemble; a chamber work for the CIRCE Ensemble; and an original score for the film “No Control.” Mr. Lindsay began his musical studies as a pianist. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the Boston Conservatory and a master’s degree from New York University where he studied piano performance and composition with Seymour Bernstein. Recently, Mr. Lindsay completed the Professional Studies program at the Mannes College of Music where he studied composition with Lowell Liebermann and film scoring with Michael Bacon. Mr. Lindsay also enjoys teaching and shares his passion for music through private piano lessons and as a music teacher at the Kenneth B. Clark Academy in Westchester.
