Lorinda Reichert's landscape paintings range in subject from the California coastal regions to the south of France, but each reflects her strong connection with the land and brings to life the distinctive mood and beauty of the setting.
Artist's Bio
Lorinda Bader Reichert has been involved in art, design, and the creative experience throughout her life. As a child, she explored a variety of mediums and techniques at the Portland Art Museum school and Catlin-Gabel School. She later studied calligraphy wth Lloyd Reynolds at Reed College. At Mills College she received a BA in Art with emphasis in Print Making. Following a long career in publishing, which included directing layout and printing processes at Sunset Magazine and Books, Lorinda formally opened her Interior and Landscape Design business. In 2010, she began her exploration into oil painting, studying with Jim Smyth, Brigitte Curt, Bill Davidson, Frank Serrano, Paul Kratter, and C.W. Mundy. Her work encompasses Still Life, Plein Air and studio landscape compositions in the San Francisco Bay Area, at the Oregon and Connecticut shores and in Provence. Lorinda’s work has been exhibited in juried shows at The Mystic (CT) Art Center, The Pacific Art League in Palo Alto, Ca and the Los Gatos Art Association. Her paintings reside in private collections in the US and abroad.

I am always open to innovative ways to push the creative process forward. I love the discipline of design and composition coupled with the excitement of unexpected possibilities of technique and expression. I strive to create images that are full of color, texture, mood and depth.
