20 years of experience in Magic The Gathering has to produce some interesting ideas about building effective Magic decks!!

 

 

The ABS boy of the ABS family who wins this item, and three ABS friends of his choosing, will bring their own Magic cards to a 2 hour workshop to be held at ABS and led by an alumni parent who spent years building Magic decks with his own three sons, for home play, and for tournament play. He also has designed and taught middle school project-based curriculum in math, reading, and technology.

 

We'll learn about themes of decks, and how to choose cards that work together well for a theme. We'll look at the Magic cards the boys bring, to practice these ideas by each boy building a deck and testing it by itself, and by playing it against the other three decks. We'll improve the decks as we discover how well they work, and what problems they have.

 

To help ensure the boys have enough varied material to build themed decks, which require 60 cards each, another ABS parent is donating a mix of 25 Magic cards per boy, many from older Sets no longer in print, with 3 Rare or Uncommon cards and 2 Artifacts per boy.
