These lovely, handcrafted, segmented bowls were created by Philip Collier (BK '86) under the name "Designs by Philip".  Each bowl was created using 37 separate pieces of red oak and walnut, cut precisely to fit together.  They were turned by hand on the lathe and given several coats of linseed oil.  The bowl on the right (with the more "square" base) measures approximately 5.5" at the base and is 3.5" tall. The opening is approximately 5" across and 3" deep.  The measurements for the bowl with the more round base (left) are the same except the base is only 4.5" across.
