Description
The Air Support Unit of the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office has two helicopters that provide law enforcement reconnaissance, rescue, and support to all public safety agencies within the County.
The Sheriff’s Office uses Starr One, a Bell 407 Jetcopter and Starr Two, a Bell 206B-3 for aerial patrol of Contra Costa County as well as providing mutual aid support to the surrounding counties and East Bay Regional Park District.
This certificate is good for a private tour of the sheriff's STARR helicopter and flight operations at Buchanan Field in Concord, CA.
Tours must be scheduled in advance. Tours are scheduled on select Wednesdays and Saturdays. Expires December 31, 2017.
