Abstract expressionist painter Kate Long Stevenson was born and raised in North Carolina, and began her career while a student at the University of the South. Gestural brushstrokes and a passion for color are characteristic to all of her work, ranging from figurative pieces to wild abstracts. She is represented by galleries in Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas and Chicago, and keeps a studio at Redux Contemporary Art Center in Charleston.
