Margery Parker established herself as an eminent portrait artist working in Hilton Head Island, SC beginning in the 1970s after moving from her native California. Her works live in private, business, and educational collections around the Southeast and is displayed in a number of solo exhibitions.

Parker was an alumnus of the University of California at Berkeley, Munson Williams Procter Institute in New York, and the Sir John Cass College of Art in London.
