Juniper turns its attention to the Eastern Mediterranean. Exec chef Tim Fichera will serve up comforting bistro dishes laced with spices like baharat and ras el hanout: expect to find lamb agnolotti, Arab-inflected skirt steak, revani (a sweet semolina cake), meze plates and various appearances by couscous, falafel and phyllo dough. Wash them down with a moderately priced wine program of domestic and European whites, reds and rosés, or craft cocktails designed to showcase freshly plucked plants and herbs. (Hence "Juniper.") The 110-seat restaurant boasts a bright paint job, flea market-found decor, and a cool cork floor, plus refurbished furniture from the space's predecessor, Greek restaurant Milestone.
