Anne Sloan grew up in the Houston Heights and has based two of her novels in our beloved neighborhood. Scandal and murder set the stage for Murder on the Boulevard, while The Apothecary's Demise is a mystery set in pre-WWI Heights and involves the construction of the Houston Ship Channel. Both novels are autographed and both are no longer in circulation.
