Most elephants that come to sanctuary arrive with emotional and physical issues from the past that need to be dealt with in a very individualized and sensitive way. We treat every elephant different, but there is one thing that is the same-extra special food rewards. These treats are given for even the ‘smallest’ positive behaviors initially. They are welcoming, comforting along with rewarding. This basket helps welcome them home and lets them know that they are loved and appreciated.
